CUDDINGTON climbed into the top five of League Two following back-to-back wins this week.
Rob Simpson’s double, along with a goal from Stephen Wright, secured a 3-2 win against lowly Cheadle Town reserves at Norley Road on Saturday That followed a single-goal success at neighbours Witton Albion reserves last Tuesday, when Gary Wakefield claimed a close contest’s solitary strike.
Mike Harwood’s men visit Irlam reserves in the President’s Cup last eight tomorrow, Thursday, while Witton head to Warrington Town reserves in the same competition.
Middlewich reserves shared six goals with their Grappenhall counterparts in Reserve League One, with Kyle Maddock, Mark O’Sullivan and substitute Peter Daniel on target for the Witches.
They lost 2-1 at Poynton on Thursday, the same night Cuddington’s second string lost 5-0 at champions-elect Knutsford A.
