RUDHEATH Social became the first team in the Cheshire League’s top flight this season to prevent Crewe claiming maximum points.
The teams played out a goalless stalemate in the Premier Division at the Cumberland Arena on Wednesday, ending a sequence of three successive wins for the hosts who played the final half hour with 10 men following Andrew Parkinson’s dismissal.
In League One, Middlewich shared four goals with Warrington Town reserves at Seddon Street.
Michael Evans, plus an own goal, accounted for the Witches’ scores.
Substitute Chris Glaze was on target for Lostock Gralam at neighbours Tarporley Victoria on Tuesday, but the Grey Lambs went down 2-1.
They have now lost three of their first four league matches this term.
