REJUVENATED Barnton boast the only unblemished record in Division Two after the season’s third week.
The Town Field team recorded successive wins by the same score, coming from behind to beat Maine Road reserves 4-2 on Saturday, Anthony Wynne bagging a brace.
They were four different scorers, including player co-manager Kevin Towey, when winless Daten visited the village in midweek.
Northwich neighbours Rudheath Social share top spot after back-to-back victories, Sam Didsbury scoring twice a five-goals humbling of Golborne Sports.
Gary Bryning had done the same at new boys Egerton in a 2-1 on Tuesday.
Newcomers Congleton Vale sit third after a pair of 3-1 wins against Malpas and Egerton in the past seven days.
Six different players got their name on the score sheet.
Kevin Hill’s late penalty made safe maximum points for Penlake at Malpas, who led twice.
Golborne proved too strong for Runcorn Town’s second string in midweek, but the latter recovered to beat Tarporley Victoria thanks to goals from Anthony Brown, Alex Wright and Jordan Dwyer.
Tarporley had lost at Sandbach United in midweek, while Maine Road reserves were indebted to Anthony Thomas’ brace in a 4-2 win against Moore United.
