CUDDINGTON were the only league representatives to win in the second round of the Crewe & East-Cheshire Inter-League Cup on Saturday, writes Mike Talbot-Butler.
Gary Wakefield helped himself to a hat-trick – Nathan Harwood adding the other goal – in a comfortable success against Wilmslow Sports at Norley Road.
Among the six clubs to bow out were Barnton Wanderers at Club AZ, Barnton Wanderers reserves at Cheadle Hulme and Barnton reserves at Poynton Nomads, where Rob Capel was on target for the Northwich outfit.
In the league, Winnington Avenue continued their upsurge with a win at Lostock Gralam reserves.
Steve Hughes and Chris Carling scored a brace apiece in a 4-2 victory.
