Leaders Cuddington fall at Bentley to give MMU Cheshire B a title chance

CUDDINGTON lost ground at the table’s summit after losing away to Bentley, writes Mike Talbot-Butler.

Gareth Harwood scored the leader’s goal in a 2-1 defeat.

However closest challengers MMU Cheshire B failed to make the most of the Norley Road men’s slip-up as they were held to a draw at home to Malpas reserves.

They trail the table-toppers by six points with two games in hand.

At the foot of the table, improving Winnington Avenue lost 3-2 at home to MMU Cheshire A, Steve Hughes scoring both for the losers.

Barnton Wanderers shipped five goals at Sandbach Town, Ashley Little scoring the visitors’ consolation.
