LEADERS Pilkington slipped-up on their return to action on Saturday after sharing the spoils with Greenalls PSO, writes Rob Wood.
That allowed second-placed Eagle Sports to close the gap to top spot to two points after they cruised to a 4-0 win at Styal.
Close behind them are Lostock Gralam who hammered neighbours Tarporley Victoria to record only their second league win at their newly-renovated Park Stadium home.
Elsewhere basement outfit Linotype lost away to Billinge, while Knutsford returned to winning ways at Garswood United.
Match of the day in Division Two was in Warrington, where Daten edged out local rivals Moore United by the odd goal in five.
The round’s other matches both saw the victors hit five goals, Barnton and Congleton Town reserves dishing out thrashings to Maine Road reserves and Monk respectively.
