NORTHWICH Vixens delivered a crushing 19-1 defeat to Airbus UK at the weekend in the North West Women’s regional League.

Laura Storey enjoyed a performance she will never forget after she scored a triple hat-trick as Vixens completed the first half of the season with their unbeaten record intact.

Abbie McIvor scored a hat-trick, as did Michela Thompson, while Cat Jones added a single goal to the tally.

But Nicky Cook was the hero of the game, scoring a hat-trick on her first appearance back after a serious knee injury and grabbing the player-of-the-match award to boot.

There will be no respite for the battered visitors this weekend, as Vixens face them once again in the reverse fixture on Saturday.
