Bayliss double fires Barnton (From Northwich Guardian)

Barnton debutant Matt Bayliss scores twice against Congleton Town reserves

DEBUTANT Matt Bayliss bagged a brace to fire Barnton to a worthy win at Town Field.

He scored inside five minutes to put Mick Duckett’s men in front, then headed home Dan Osborne’s free kick to double the hosts’ tally.

The visitors halved the deficit before the break.

Osborne turned goal-getter after the interval, converting Dean Jones’ set piece with a deft touch, then Jones teed up substitute Sam Didsbury to make the points safe.

Congleton replied in stoppage time.
