1874 NORTHWICH have been paired with Pontefract Collieries in a draw for the FA Vase fourth round published on Monday.
A side managed by Paul Bowyer and Wayne Goodison, who progressed to the last 32 for the first time following a 2-0 win against Ashton Athletic on Saturday, will have home advantage.
They can also call on help from a friend; the Northern Counties East League title-hopefuls eliminated Winsford United, 1874’s landlords, from the competition in September.
A 4-1 win at St Luke’s Barton Stadium that afternoon was a demonstration of their prowess on the road; indeed, Pontefract have won all seven of their league fixtures away from home to date this season.
The teams are scheduled to meet on Saturday, January 6, kick-off 3pm.
