NORTHWICH Victoria have appointed former Colwyn Bay boss Paul Moore as their new manager.

Moore, who can name Portsmouth and Hull City among his former clubs as a player, left the Welsh side last month and succeeds Adam Lakeland in the Vics hotseat.

His extensive knowledge of the Evo-Stik League has seen him take in managerial spells at Warrington Town, Ashton Athletic and Clitheroe.

The new boss will take charge of his first game on Boxing Day against local rivals Witton Albion.

Dave Wild took charge of the team at Stocksbridge Park Steels last weekend and was offered the assistant manager's job under Moore, but had decided to leave the club to try his hand elsewhere.
