WITTON Albion have borrowed Billy Reeves, a promising midfielder, from Port Vale for a second time.

The teenager, so impressive during a three-month stay last season, will return to Wincham Park for an initial 28 days this time around.

“We’re made up to have him back,” said manager Carl Macauley.

“We know what Billy can do, and he is familiar with how we work. Hopefully he can make a similar contribution to the one he did during his first spell.”

Reeves, 19, was called up to the first team by Vale boss Bruno Ribeiro in the summer, featuring in friendlies for the League One side.

He made 14 appearances for Albion last term, scoring once.

“Billy now has the opportunity to get more game time under his belt,” reads a note on the Valiants’ website.

Reeves bolsters a midfield that has been shorn of Paul Williams, who switched to Northwich from Burscough in pre-season, in the past three weeks.

Karl Noon (holiday) is also unavailable for Saturday’s FA Cup clash.

Meanwhile front man Tolani Omotola, on loan at Witton from Tranmere, has extended his stint for a second month.

The 18-year-old has scored four goals in six starts so far.
