Why should I watch..?
Despite losing at champions-elect Warrington on Monday, Witton played well for a fourth successive game.
They enter the weekend two points adrift of a position in the table’s top 10 with five games left and, with three of those at home, can be optimistic still of finishing there.
Scarborough, who will contest the Integro Doodson League Cup final following a semi-final success on penalties against higher-ranked Ilkeston, are one of the section’s most in-form teams, improving significantly in recent weeks.
Numbers game
Witton haven’t won any of their past four league games away from home, drawing two and losing just as many.
Boro have lost only one of their past seven First Division North games, although that was in stoppage time at Wincham Park a fortnight ago.
Man to keep an eye on
Theo Chrisokhou
The 18-year-old made his first start for Witton in Monday’s 4-2 reverse at Warrington Town, where he put in a discrete performance against the First Division North’s best strike pairing.
Wasn’t intimidated physically by Ciaran Kilheeney or Ben Deegan, and stuck to a difficult task.
He may be given another opportunity by manager Carl Macauley.
