Match pointers

WITTON boss Tony Sullivan says he is glad to see the back of October, a month that yielded seven defeats in league and cup matches.

He starts a new month still searching for a first victory, one he is confident can kick-start Albion’s stalled campaign.

Sam Barnes returns after missing Tuesday’s trip to Halesowen with illness, while there will be at least one change to the team that started that 1-0 defeat following midfielder Jon Dawson’s switch to Runcorn Town.

The visitors’ attack will be boosted by the arrival of front man Jamie Henders, who scored 29 goals in Sullivan’s Cammell Laird side that reached the Division One North promotion play-offs the season before last.

Sheffield have lost back-to-back league matches, including a 5-2 defeat at Gresley in midweek.

They also went down 3-0 at home to Tividale last Saturday.

However Club have won four of the previous five games on their own pitch in Division One South this term.
