GOALKEEPER Chris Sanna has signed for Witton Albion after leaving Football Conference club Colwyn Bay.

He will join the Northwich outfit for pre-season training in July, replacing Matt Cooper between the posts following his release.

Michael Lea, a left back, is another to leave the Welsh club to play for Brian Pritchard’s men next season.

“They both bring know-how and experience, something I feel we lacked at certain moments last year,” said the Witton boss.

“I’m certain we’re stronger for having them on board.”

A third new recruit, Northwich-based front man Michael Koral, completes the first part of Pritchard’s restructuring following a campaign in which his side successfully avoided relegation to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s second tier.

The 21-year-old finished as leading scorer for Cheshire neighbours Congleton Town last term, hitting the net 13 times in the North West Counties League’s Premier Division.

Pritchard said: “Mike is somebody we’ve kept an eye since he played so well against us in the Cheshire FA Senior Cup the season before last.

“We think he can make the step up to a higher level with us.”

Albion confirmed on Monday that full back Ally Brown and midfielder Jon Breeze have also left the club along with Cooper.
