WITTON Albion’s wait for a Premier Division win away from Wincham Park continued after Blyth Spartans overturned an interval deficit.
Brian Pritchard’s men remain in the relegation zone following a 4-2 defeat, their ninth match on the road without victory.
Captain Robbie Dale curved in a stunning opener for the hosts after seven minutes, skipping past Anthony Gardner down the left before swerving a perfectly-placed shot into the top corner.
Danny Andrews restored parity from the restart, steering a cute finish past goalkeeper Conor Grant after Marty Jackson’s wind-assisted pass had cleared Joe Kendrick’s head.
The visitors dominated the remainder of the half, edging ahead when Michael Powell applied a faint, but decisive, touch to Josh Hancock’s arced free kick.
Blyth were level again after an hour, Dale converting calmly from the penalty spot after net-minder Matt Cooper felled Dan Maguire.
Spartans’ top scorer made it 3-2 on 81 minutes when the wind carried his corner in off the far post, doubling his personal tally in stoppage time when he was first to a loose ball after Jon Breeze blocked Dale’s drive on the goalline.
