MIDFIELDER Martyn Jackson, impressive during a month-long loan stay with Witton Albion, will remain at Wincham Park for the rest of the season.
The Northwich club confirmed on Friday they have reached agreement with Skrill North outfit AFC Telford United – bossed by ex-Albion forward Liam Watson – for the teenager to continue his development at Wincham Park.
“We’re really pleased,” said manager Brian Pritchard.
“It’s great that Liam and Telford recognise that staying here can help a promising young player to improve. He’s done well so far, and there’s more to come too.”
Jackson, 19, has made five starts in league and cup for Albion, scoring the opening goal in a 3-3 draw with Trafford at Christmas.
A former junior at Manchester United and Burnley, Jackson has already stayed temporarily this season with Witton’s Premier Division rivals Stafford and Skelmersdale.
He joined the Bucks after impressing during a trial game.
Last term, he scooped the Young Player of the Year prize at North West Counties League Premier Division club Ashton Athletic.
