WINSFORD will not change they way they play when table-topping Runcorn Linnets visit Barton Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, according to manager Rob Byrne.
Blues have won three successive matches under their new boss since Eddy Haslam’s departure, securing for him the job on a permanent basis.
He said: “It’s a very competitive league.
“Runcorn are top of the table, but I think we’ll give it a good go. The boys seem to enjoy playing more when they express themselves.
“If we can get the ball down on the floor as quickly as possible, I’m confident we can cause them problems.”
Runcorn, five points clear of closest rivals Maine Road, have won five successive matches in the Premier Division.
They have lost only once since October, a sequence of 13 games.
Winsford have reason to be optimistic though; they have lost only one of their past five head-to-heads with their Cheshire neighbours.
Kick off at Barton Stadium is 3pm.
