Witton Albion travel to former league rivals Curzon Ashton in Doodson Sport Cup quarter finals

WITTON travel to Curzon Ashton, the team they defeated in a promotion play-off final last season, on Wednesday in the Doodson Sport Cup quarter finals.

Brian Pritchard’s men reached the same stage of last year’s edition before bowing out 2-1 at then higher-ranked opponents Kendal Town.

They have won home ties against Evo-Stik Northern Premier League top tier rivals AFC Fylde and FC United of Manchester to reach the last eight.

The remaining semi finals are due to be played the previous day, Tuesday, when Cammell Laird host Northwich Victoria and Farsley visit Matlock Town.

Holders North Ferriby United are already through to the last four following a 5-0 win at Eastwood Town last Tuesday.
