KINGSLEY Cricket Club are making their mark in mid Cheshire.
They have been awarded Clubmark status for their work on and off the square with young players.
Club chairman and first teamer Adrian Burden paid tribute to the volunteers who look after the junior teams at the Croft.
"It's a reward for them," he said.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and Sport England praised Kingsley for the quality of coaching offered to their members.
Burden added: "We are all proud our hard work has been recognised."
There was further cause for celebration last week when Burden learned the club would benefit from a £35,000 cash boost from Vale Royal Borough Council.
The money will pay for an extension to the pavilion in time for next season.
The council has awarded Kingsley the money as part of its Rural Delivery Programme, which is a scheme that provides funding for capital projects across the borough.
