WEAVERHAM'S winnning draw at Oakmere on Saturday seemed a positive result.

But third bottom Prestbury's win at Stockport Georgians means the Wallerscote Road side are still 21 points from safety with three games to go.

Weaverham play fellow strugglers Prestbury and Wilmslow in their last three games so their destiny still lies within their hands.

Put in on a tricky wicket at Overdale Lane, the visitors could only muster 138, which didn't seem enough.

Lucas Fraser scored 24, but it was the second wicket partnership of 70 between Steve Robertson 22 and Rob McMillan 41, which ensured Weaverham at least had something to bowl at.

The visitors' bowlers though performed exceedingly well on the day as Oakmere were only able to muster 111-7 from their 45 overs.

Left arm spinner RobMcMillan took 2-30 and fellow spinner Gordon Allen finished with 2-20. Next week's opponents are Wilmslow.
