MIDDLEWICH CC strike bowler Keith Hallam will feature for the Cheshire County Cricket League Division Two representative side on his home patch next week.

Hallam has had a fine campaign so far for the men from Haddon Field, earning him a spot on the team for the Chesters Challenge Trophy tie against Meller Braggins Cheshire Cricket League.

Club mate Phil Parry will join him as reward for his fine recent form.

The match takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, from 1pm.

Captain Richard Clorley and his team host struggling Congleton on Saturday in their Division Two game.

Middlewich CC's fixture at Malpas fell foul of the weather at the weekend, with both sides picking up seven points.

It was a blow for Clorley, who had seen his team get their season back on track the previous week with a last ball victory over Bredbury St Mark's.

They remain eighth in the table, just 21 points clear of Malpas in the first relegation spot.
