OAKMERE proved too strong for newcomers Leigh as they extended a winning sequence to four matches in the Cheshire Women’s League on Sunday.
After registering their previous wins by batting first and bowling out their opponents, they turned the tables by skittling their guests for 60 at Overdale Lane.
Loan players Rachel Warrenger (2-6) and Hannah Thorley (2-14) shared four wickets, as did Jane Tarpey (2-5) and Kate Skelhorn (2-10).
Dawn Prestidge (26no) continued her fine form at the crease by guiding her side to victory in the 16th oves, leaving them 40 points ahead of second-placed Chester Boughton Hall.
