WINSFORD progressed to the league’s T20 Knockout final courtesy of a seven-run victory over Pott Shrigley on Sunday.

Craig Webb (44) and skipper Mike Dickenson (39) led the way before Winsford were bowled out for 104 in the 17th over.

Winsford's bowlers delivered, with Ben Crellin (6-14) shining as Pott Shrigley could only manage 97-8 in their 20-over response.

Barry Crellin and Craig Webb each took a wicket too.

Winsford were perhaps buoyed by the previous day’s second league win of the year, defeating visitors Holmes Chapel by 100 runs in Division One.

Dickenson (76) was again to the fore, while Andy Cooper chipped in with 52 in 218-4 for the hosts.

Chapel were bowled out for 118, with James Tierney taking 5-32.

Hartford beat Frodsham by six wickets in Division Two, with Sanchit (5-40) helping to rein in the visitors to 157-8.

Contributions from P Cook (45) and Nishant (40) led to the total being passed for the loss of four wickets.

In the East Division, a half century from Manoj could not save Hartford’s seconds who were dismissed for 110 as they chased 269-7 set by Mellor, whose David Baythorpe scored an unbeaten 153.
