NORTHWICH failed to come to terms on a green pitch at Stretton.
Despite the good weather the wicket was damp and batting first proved to be a difficult exercise.
Only Ant Shaw (43) came to terms with the swinging ball.
As the day wore on and the sun dried out the surface batting became easier, although Northwich did not do themselves any favours in the field, with poor display to match their batting.
