They were favourites to win after bowling out their guests for 136, Mike Kouris (5-26) and Dean Jackson (4-39) combining effectively.

However the hosts collapsed in reply, losing nine wickets for 19 runs.

Mike Hitchens (11) delayed the inevitable before the innings closed later on 56.

Weaverham remain third in the standings following a draw at Irby, whose last-wicket pair thwarted the Russets’ attack.

Chasing 147 to win, the hosts closed on 104-9.
