WEAVERHAM elected to bat on a superb wicket and rattled up double batting points in their excellent total.
Phil Harris (52) and Max Fraser (24) put on 52 for the first wicket in quick time.
Brian Rogerson (41), Rob Dickinson 23)and Chris Heptonstall (24) ensured Alvanley would face a difficult task.
Kenny Roberts (4-52) ripped through the Alvanley top order as they struggled to 50-5 at one stage.
Rogerson (3-31) ensured there was no chance of an Alvanley victory but a stubborn rearguard action meant Weaverham could not get that last vital wicket.
