DEPLETED Winnington Park lost heavily, by 123 runs, at leaders Haslington in Division B.

The home team amassed 281-3 before declaring, an innings that included two century partnerships and an unbeaten ton for Alex Moore.

James Hanson (2-51) took two of the wickets to fall.

Park never recovered from slipping to 25-4, although Darren Falland (87 off 91 balls) found the boundary 14 times to bring respectability to the total.

Tom Norman (19) was the only other player to reach double figures as his side closed on 158 all out.

Kingsley could not prevent promotion-chasing Wilmslow Wayfarers from securing a four-wicket win in the same section.

Skipper Andrew Ainsworth regretted his decision to bat when the visitors slipped to 36-4 before Steve Forster (29) and Chris Martin (30) stabilised the innings.

A quick-fire 31 from Joe Kitchen further down the order helped Kingsley to 147 all out, Bilal Hussain (5-40) doing most of the damage.

Smart catching in the field, plus a smart stumping from stand-in wicket-keeper Harry Waring, kept Wilmslow under pressure as they reached 70-6.

However they did not lose another wicket, despite the best efforts of Anthony Alderman (2-6) and Martin (2-35).

Oakmere made it back-to-back wins following a three-wicket success at home to Cheadle Hulme Ladybridge.

Three-wicket hauls for Mike Cushion (3-77), Dan Gibbon (3-30) and Eddie Gibson (3-14) restricted the visitors to 189 all out.

Two key partnerships helped the hosts to victory; Peter Jones (34) and Mike Dodd (54) added 54 runs for the fifth wicket before Dodd and Gibbon (34) put on a further 81 for the sixth.

In Division A, Barnton recorded a fourth win from their past five matches at Woodford.

Set a target of 175 to win, they were comfortable victors thanks to half-centuries from opener Gary Edwards and Jordan Cobley.

After losing the toss earlier, they restricted their hosts to 174-9 with skipper Matthew Morley, Matthew Appleton and Derek Bowyer taking two wickets each.

Winsford conceded their encounter with Disley in Division C because they did not have enough players to field a team.
