OAKMERE dominated their Division One derby duel at Davenham, recording a resounding 103-run win.

Batting first after losing the toss, brothers Ian (42) and Stewart (57) Eaton shared 80 runs for the fourth wicket before Jim Ackerley (28) and Paul Guilford (42no) racked up 70 more in the final six overs as the visitors closed on 204-5.

Stewart Eaton (3-22) continued his fine form in the field and, helped by Pete Hutchinson (3-38) and Nick Guest (2-2), they skittled Davenham for just 101.

Points: Davenham 3 Oakmere 25.

RAMPANT Northwich turned record breakers as they annihilated Alderley Park to storm to the Division Two summit.

Martyn East (124) was the star of the show, aided by Paul Alcock (92) in a 175-run stand for the second wicket as the Moss Farm men made a massive 307-3 batting first.

Matty Jamieson (35) was also in the runs as Northwich hit 26 fours and 19 sixes in a new best total for the second tier.

Alderley were reduced to 110 all out as they hung on for 47 overs, Nigel Goolding (2-19) finally breaking their resistance with support from Jim Kimber (3-31) and Chris Yearsley (2-10).

Points: Alderley Park 3, Northwich 25.

NEIL Langham put Prestbury to the sword as Barnton continued their bright start.

He posted his best senior figures to date, taking 7-46, as Steve Yarwood's men cruised to a seven wicket win at Broomsedge.

Veteran Matt Morley (2-19) kept up the pressure at the other end as the visitors were bowled out for 131.

Openers Mike Cross (25) and Richard Watkins (40) put on 60 for the first wicket, Ben Wingfield (32no) helping them to 133-3.

Points: Barnton 25, Prestbury 6.

WEAVERHAM outclassed Bowdon Vale to chalk up a 118-run victory.

Opener Steve Pinnington (90) posted his finest score of the season to date, sharing a century stand with New Zealander Greg Ayres (46) as Weaverham reached 207-5.

Vale were never in the hunt as James Ollier (3-15) and Chris Hemmings (2-18) blew away the top order with Bowdon slumping to 88 all out.

Points: Bowdon Vale 3, Weaverham 25.

WINSFORD tied a remarkable match at Over Peover.

They needed three runs off the final delivery to record their first win of the season, but wicket keeper Brian Smith (25no) could only scramble two as they closed on 167-7.

Martin Barrett (25) and chairman Andy Cooper (40) shared 49 runs for the first wicket before a mini collapse left the visitors on 103-5.

Earlier James Tierney (4-42) had been the pick of the bowling attack as Over Peover closed on 167-8.

Points: Over Peover 14, Winsford 18.

KINGSLEY continued their perfect start in a high scoring game at Lindow.

Adrian Burden (5-50) was instrumental in restricting the hosts to 175.
