MIDDLEWICH pace man Phil Parry's brilliant bowling shot out Bredbury St Mark's in Division Two.
His speed, coupled with the guile of Tom Gledhill (4-41) helped Chris Broomfield's men to only their second success of the season as the visitors were bowled out for 148 to seal a 71-run victory.
Earlier the men from Haddon Field had declared on 219-8, James Cornford (89) and Stuart Price (48no) the main contributors to spark a recovery from 43-2.
Richard Clorley (21) shared 59 runs with Cornford for the third wicket before Price's massive hitting late on helped Middlewich claim a clutch of batting bonus points.
Points: Middlewich 23, Bredbury St Mark's 7.
WINNINGTON Park suffered a fourth defeat in five matches, this time by seven wickets at Mobberley.
Skipper Dave Hine (54) and Neil Welch (49) shared 90 for the second wicket after Park were asked to bat following Hine's first incorrect toss call this season.
Wickets fell at regular intervals afterwards, Glinoj Cherian (31) the only other batsman to get into double figures as the visitors posted 187-9.
Opener David Johnson contributed 68 and Nathan Wood an unbeaten 40 as Mobberley eased home with three overs left but Hine was happy with his bowler's efforts.
Tom Pilling took a wicket on his return, Sean O'Neill and James Cowell claiming the others as Mobberley closed on 191-3.
"I was happy with our display," said Hine afterwards.
"It was a well-earned 10 points and an improved performance."
Points: Mobberley 20, Winnington Park 10.
PREMIER Division title pretenders Bowdon lost their 100 per cent record after their crunch clash against champions Oulton Park ended prematurely in bad light.
In an 80-over match, the men from Little Budworth were put in and declared on 175-6, Nathan Dumelow (51) and Danny Leech (41) top scoring with Adam Syddall (3-77) the pick of the bowling attack.
Bowdon reached a cautious 63-2, Adam Crozier unbeaten on 20, when the umpires called a halt with 25 overs left in the locker.
Points: Bowdon 7, Oulton Park 9.
