De Knoop Cup: Round One review

THERE were only five matches played in Saturday's first round.
Mid Cheshire teams won three of them, with Wharton Cons A, Castle Private and Davenham all easing through to the next stage.
Winnington Park Recreation Club enjoyed a walkover at the expense of Wilmslow RBL, but Comberbach and Wharton Cons B pulled out of the competition after failing to raise a team.
Owley Wood, Frodsham Red Lion and Meadow Bank all had byes to the second round.
