Brunner Cup: Round Two review

FIVE mid Cheshire teams made it through to the next stage.

League champions Castle Private cruised through against LMRCA Altrincham at Knutsford BC, while Wharton Cons were also easy winners.

The other member of the 'big three' - Frodsham Red Lion - were granted a walkover when Urmston CC could not raise a team.

The real drama came elsewhere.

Winsford Cons were pipped by a single chalk against Tixall BC at Helsby while Slow and Easy edged another closer encounter, this time with Metro Sports.

Winsford outfit Meadow Bank sailed through but Comberbach and Davenham are out.
