CAPTAIN Dennis Leather will have the support of familiar faces when he attempts to guide Cheshire A to victory in a national competition on Sunday.
They meet North Yorkshire, opponents against which they lost twice during the group stages, in the English Short Mat Bowling Association’s Inter County Championship final.
Bowlers from mid Cheshire clubs - including Chris Aldus, Jack Hardman, Peter Kelly, Stacy Linegar, George McMahon, Tony Milburn, Vernon Slater and Alan Whitelegg - played their part in a semi-final success against Norfolk last weekend.
Cheshire A also eliminated Somerset and West Midlands in knockout ties.
They finished as runners-up to North Yorkshire at the end of a round-robin phase, registering victories – both home and away – against Shropshire and Stockport Metro.
