WHARTON Cons are through to the last 16 of the inaugural Super Cup after beating Warrington outfit St Oswalds by a 20-points margin on Sunday.
They trailed by 23 at halfway in the eight-a-side contest, played to 31-up, before victories for Daniel Nixon, Tom Vickers and Glynn Cookson turned the tie around.
Shaun Yearsley and Simon Cookson were Cons’ other winners in a 214-194 success.
The Winsford club await the victors of Thongsbridge’s clash with Gresford Colliery at the next stage, scheduled for September.
