VETERANS: Leather falls
COMBERBACH bowler Dennis Leather bowed out of the British Crown Green Bowling Association Veterans’ Merit at the first round stage.
He lost 21-12 against Ron Regan, representing Warwick & Worcester, at Meole Brace Bowling Club in Shrewsbury last Wednesday.
Andrew Mailer beat Malcolm Tonge, both from South Yorkshire, in the final.
