TOM Annable was the first of 13 Vale Royal AC members to complete the London Marathaon.
The Men's O40s veteran ran the 26.2 miles through the streets of the capital in a time of 2:50.37 - a time that put among the top 100 finishers in his age group.
He was joined in the Mall finishing area by club colleagues Glenn Wilson, who posted 2:59.08, John Todd, who clocked 3:00.22, James Edwards, who crossed the line in 3:02.22, Matthew Sweeting in 3:06.52, Tony Archer, who negotiated the famous course in 3:18.47 and David Hanson in 3:21.26.

For the women, Jane Campion did brilliantly to finish inside the top 100, crossing the line 87th in 3:14.19. That placed her 18th in the women's O40s category.
Clubmate Mary Tavener clocked 3:25.15 as she came home 30th in the O45s.
The pair were joined at the finish by Joanne Molyneaux, who posted 3:38.59, Joanne Edwards, in 4:09.02, Jayne Lomax, in 4:09.02 and Sarah McClellan, in 7:11.28.
A dozen Vale Royal AC juniors represented Cheshire in the popular three-mile MiniMarathon, which also finished on the Mall.
Rebecca Craigie finished 15th in 17:26 while Middlewich starlet Megan Huxley crossed the line 27th overall and seventh in her age group.
For the boys, Andrew Clewes was first Vale Royal runner over the line in 16:21 - a time that placed him 61st in the boys' 15-17 age category.
Kathy Stringer, Claire Perry, Kate Howard, Charlotte Mills, Hannah Bishop, Louise Towers, Jade Evens, Peter Cox and Jack Quinn also made the trip to stride out around the London course.
