STEVIE Stockton launches her latest bid for a place in the Great Britain and Northern Ireland team tomorrow, Saturday.

The Vale Royal AC star is among the favourites for the Women's U20s crown at the UK CAU Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships.

Up for grabs is a chance to run at the World Championships in Edinburgh later this month.

The 18-year-old made the cut last year, earning a place for the Kenya championships.

She will be joined at Nottingham's Wollaton Park by around 20 of her clubmates for the last major event of the cross country campaign.

The Championships, which bring together the best athletes of all ages, both men and women from all over the UK, also include the finals of the UK Cross Challenge.

Vale Royal's Nicky Archer is still in the running among the Senior Women.

The whole event is to be broadcast live on Sky Sports 2 from 11am. Stockton is due to race at 1.06pm.
