Roach misses out on Holmes meet

CHARLOTTE Roach missed out on meeting an Olympic champion Sunday.
The Vale Royal AC star was one of a select band of hopefuls bidding to be mentored by Dame Kelly Holmes but she could not meet her hero due to illness.
"She was devastated not to have the chance to go," said club coach Shaun McGrath.
Roach is not necessarily out of the running, nor is clubmate Stevie Stockton was also not in Birmingham for selection day.
Both should now be considered at a later date.
