WITTON will start their FA Cup campaign at Burscough this weekend after the Lancashire club came through a replay following extra time last night, Tuesday.

The Linnets saw off North West Counties League outfit Padiham at the second attempt, edging through 2-1 thanks to Darren Brookfield’s goal.

Albion boss Brian Pritchard was there to see it.

Lower-ranked Burscough, relegated from the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s top tier last term, occupy 13th place in Division One North after three matches this term.

Kick off at Victoria Park on Saturday is 3pm.

Bad memory of Burscough when we lost there a few seasons ago to a really "soft goal"and it cost us promotion which they got instead. Hopefully we will have our revenge on Saturday.
