Match pointers
WITTON Albion seek to extend their current wins sequence against play-offs rivals Skelmersdale United when the Evo-Stik NPL Division One North season resumes tomorrow, Saturday.

Brian Pritchard’s men have won five games in league and cup since losing to Trafford last month.

He is without convalescing Josh Glover (toe) tomorrow, but otherwise has a full strength squad to pick from following five successive postponements.

Witton host rivals in the top five over the next three weekends, with Curzon Ashton and Farsley to follow in the next fortnight.

Visitors Skem, the section’s top scorers, are shorn of main marksman Shaun Tuck, but newcomer Josh Hine has impressed in attack following his arrival from Clitheroe in recent weeks.

Warrington Town front man Antony Hickey is likely to fill in this weekend.

Tommy Lawson’s men, runners-up to Chester last term, had won back-to-back matches before wintry weather wiped out the past two weeks’ matches, bringing to an end a run of results that saw them win only two of 13 games since a home humbling against Witton back in November.

A 2-0 win at Harrogate last time out marked the first time since October that an opponent had failed to score against them.
