WHITBY Town boss Harry Dunn is expecting an improved performance from his players in their first meeting with Northwich Victoria tomorrow, Saturday.
He told the Whitby Gazette that Blues’ displays to date – they have won only once this season – have fallen below his expectations.
“We haven’t reached the level we should be at,” he said.
“I think we should have done better; the players know that too and it’s up to us to put it right.”
Whitby arrive in town without an away league win since February – a run of 11 matches – and goalless on their travels so far this term.
That includes a five-goals drubbing at Worksop Town.
Dunn has doubts on defensive duo Kevin Burgess (calf) and Ibby Hassan (knee), plus first choice goalkeeper Nick Liversedge (hand) this weekend.
Top scorer Jamie Owens (toe) is struggling too.
“We’re not gelling,” admitted Dunn.
Kick off on Saturday is 3pm.
