NEWCOMERS The Elms are the first team in the Northwich and District League’s three divisions to reach 100 points for the season.
The Division Three table-toppers cut short the celebrations of Ring o Bells B, victors for only the first time last week, in a ruthless 7-0 drubbing.
They are now near certainties to be promoted in their debut season.
Elsewhere Thatched Tavern made the most of Green Dragon’s second successive defeat to take over second spot in the table.
Meanwhile in the top tier leaders Rudheath were made to fight for their slender win against lowly Greenbank, while closest rivals Barn Owl D crushed rock-bottom Coachman.
They now trial the champions by eight points with a game in hand.
Blue Barrel stay in third place despite suffering a second reverse in as many weeks on the road at fast-improving Wheatsheaf.
Hartford B slide down the standings after losing at Owley Wood A, who replace their victims in fourth position.
Winnington Park’s miserable moment continues after their defeat at Bowling Green, extending their losing stretch to six matches.
Castle Private A moved to the Division Two summit for the first time after a 6-1 success over previously second-placed Bowling Green B, who drop to fifth as a result.
Season-long leaders Barn Owl A, beaten by White Barn, now trail the new leaders by three points but have played one less match.
Barn Owl B defeated Drum & Monkey to pinch their opponent’s third place, while RAOB A kept in touch with the leading pack after winning by the odd frame in seven at Witton Chimes.
