Winnington win Owley Wood Club's Three Man Team Knockout

WINNINGTON won the Owley Wood Club Three Man Team Knockout on Sunday after edging out underdogs Hartford in the final.
The line up, consisting of Peter Glover, Lee Merchant, Rob Tipping and Craig Reid, left their opponents with two much too do.
Rich Cobain, Andy Hollinshead and Chris Murney made up the runners-up trio.
Merchant won his frame to put the favourites in front in the final, a trick repeated by Tipping.
Hollinshead needed to win by more than 60 points in the decider to earn his team an aggregate victory, but Glover posted green and brown to leave him needing too many snookers to carry on.
Teams from Pot Bank and United Services were the losing semi finalists, while Tony Edwards (Winsford Cons) cued the best break of the day – 40.
