Captain Janet Worrall is confident they have done enough to finish as runners up behind title favourites Congleton.

Meanwhile the Men’s A team was held to a draw by Congleton D in Division Two while the Men’s B quartet, led by captain Jamie Cummins, continue to impress with an 8-0 win over Holmes Chapel A.

WINSFORD have cemented their hold on second spot in the Men’s Division One.

Their A team thrashed rock bottom Alsager B 7½-½ when David Jones, David Littler, Richard Clorley and Mark Abbiss were on court.

Meanwhile the second string, consisting of Chris Mayoh, Brian Congleton, Neil Garrett and Andy Yearsley, ran out 6½ -1½ victors against Nantwich B at Knights Grange.
