CUDDINGTON and Sandiway’s Mixed A team are set for a second place finish in the Slazenger South and Mid Cheshire League’s top tier.
Captain Janet Worrall is confident they have done enough to finish as runners up behind title favourites Congleton.
Meanwhile the Men’s A team was held to a draw by Congleton D in Division Two while the Men’s B quartet, led by captain Jamie Cummins, continue to impress with an 8-0 win over Holmes Chapel A.
WINSFORD have cemented their hold on second spot in the Men’s Division One.
Their A team thrashed rock bottom Alsager B 7½-½ when David Jones, David Littler, Richard Clorley and Mark Abbiss were on court.
Meanwhile the second string, consisting of Chris Mayoh, Brian Congleton, Neil Garrett and Andy Yearsley, ran out 6½ -1½ victors against Nantwich B at Knights Grange.
