1874 Northwich fans react to FA Vase semi-final first-leg

Close to 300 of them travelled to Waterside Park, where the hosts prevailed thanks to Ross Cook’s early penalty.

The teams meet again for the return in Wincham next Saturday, and the home fans are optimistic their favourites can cancel a narrow deficit.

They squandered too many chances (& Greg was on good form), we failed to create much. Hope we learnt a lot from today and hoping the atmosphere (& weather) will be warmer next week to cheer us through

Right result, we didn’t deserve a draw or a win. Like it’s been said we were second best today and we know we are capable of much better. Thatcham looked impressive in the first half but faded pretty badly in the second. Still very much all to play for.
