THE second annual 1874 Northwich Beer Festival has raised more than £3,000 for the club, according to organiser Andrew Perry.
He plans to present a cheque for £3,200 to chairman Paul Stockton before kick off in next Tuesday’s friendly against FC United of Manchester at Barton Stadium.
A similar sum was raised at the inaugural event, also hosted at Lostock Sports and Social Club, last year.
And Perry has confirmed the popular fundraiser will return next summer, provisionally on Saturday, June 27.
He added: “I’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of the sponsors as well as the kind people who made a donation to help run the event.”
