WITTON Albion will have home advantage when they take on higher-ranked opponents in the FA Cup second qualifying round.
Carl Macauley’s side were paired with Spennymoor Town, from the National League North, in a draw published by the governing body on Monday afternoon.
The Northwich club progressed following a comfortable 5-0 win against Bottesford Town on Saturday, collecting £6,000 in prize money as a reward.
There is a £9,000 bonus for the victors when the north east outfit, who sit eighth in the table following a 2-0 victory at Leamington last weekend, arrive at Wincham Park on Saturday, September 22.
They made the same trip for a third qualifying round tie seven years ago, when a Witton team managed by Brian Pritchard triumphed thanks to goals from Oliver James, Anthony Sheehan and Alex Titchiner.
However the Moors prevailed on their most recent visit for a Northern Premier League First Division North fixture in October 2015.
