Carl Macauley’s men were paired with Bottesford Town, from the Northern Counties East League’s top-flight, in a draw for the first qualifying round on Tuesday.
It will a first meeting between the two clubs.
And the Northwich outfit are hoping for a better return in this season’s edition, which marks their 100th appearance in the competition, after losing at the same stage last time out.
A 2-0 defeat at home to South Shields, then a lower-ranked opponent from the Northern Premier League’s second tier, ended early their involvement.
The tie against Bottesford, who are based in Scunthorpe, takes place on Saturday, September 8, when a prize on offer to the victors is £6,000.
