A TRIO of Northwich Centurions swimmers swapped the pool for open water when they took part in the Great North Swim last weekend.
George Scurry, Bella Jones and Ethan Beckman completed a half-mile race for juniors at Brockhole on Windermere.
Scurry completed the course in 12.46 to finish 13th, followed closely by Jones, in 18th, who timed 12.54.
Meanwhile Beckman stopped the clock in 13.05.
A total of 8,000 swimmers took part in the 11th edition of the event in the Lake District, held over three days – the biggest in Europe of its kind.
