JIM Duffy continued a memorable campaign by claiming Weaver Valley Cycling Club’s 25-mile time-trial title.
He reached the finish in 57.02, an average speed of 26.3mph, to take first prize ahead of Alistair Stanway who stopped the clock in 58.07.
A bronze medal went to Dave Fearon, who was content to time 1:01.04 and celebrate a rare highlight in a frustrating season.
Newcomer Andy Milligan, making his debut over 25 miles, produced a notable time of 1:01.38 to narrowly miss out on the top three overall.
Colin Carthy continued to demonstrate his consistency by timing 1:05.52, and he was followed to the finish by Steve Marlow (1:11.20) and Jonno Gibson (1:13.21).
An eight-strong field was completed by Simon Bridge (Manchester Wheelers), who left his rivals trailing to cross the finish-line in a swift 55.10.
