MOSSLEY made their class tell during a first half in which they scored four times against 1874 Northwich on Saturday.
The Lilywhites took the lead inside eighth minutes when Elliot Harrison, left unmarked at the far post from a corner, fired into the net from close range.
A second goal followed shortly afterwards, Jack Tuohy applying a smart finish after the visitors had lost possession.
Mossley captain Tom Dean headed in a third goal after quarter of an hour when he met a long throw before the Northern Premier League side added a fourth through Tuohy.
1874 at least shut out their higher-ranked hosts after the interval, which was a more even contest.
However they were restricted only to efforts from distance, while at the other end on-trial goalkeeper Callum Spencer, who helped Knutsford A to win the Cheshire League Reserves Division title last season, made a string of saves to keep the score down.
